A True Act of Kindness – Commemorative flags replaced at St Nicholas Church

Flagmakers recently supplied one of two new flags, now displayed at St Nicholas’ church in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk to honour two sailors; one American and one British. Sadly, they died together in 1942 disarming a German mine which had washed ashore on the beach near the town. The flags replaced two rather tired looking flags […]

Family Crest Guidon

Guidon? It wasn’t something I was familiar with until working with Flagmakers. A guidon is a type of heraldic flag, which is in a similar sort of shape to a burgee but more rounded. Flagmakers produced a guidon which featured a crest of a families surname. Guidon’s can prove the perfect canvas to celebrate family heritage […]

St George’s for St Mary’s Church

St George Flag

Last month we were able to provide a beautiful large flag for St. Mary’s Northchurch. The hand sewn St George’s flag was issued to the church following damage to their old flag, this was from age and recent poor weather conditions. This new flag was to fly throughout the Harvest services that the church hosts annually.

Flag Restoration – White Ensign

We were recently invited to work on the restoration of beautiful old flag which had fallen into a state of disrepair. The flag held huge sentimental value for our client and underwent a long and delicate restoration process to restore the white ensign to its former glory. Flagmakers take great pride our ability to offer […]
