Pudsey’s Slippers Fundraising Total

pudsey-slippers-children-inYou may remember our blog post in November last year whereby we donated one of our hand sewn Union Jack’s to Shoe Zone’s event for Pudsey. Our two yard flag flew proudly at the event and we were very pleased to have been able to give a little something for Children In Need.

This new blog post is following a fundraising update from the Shoe Zone team. The company had raised a whopping £362, 412.56 in their first 3 years working with Pudsey and this years total certainly didn’t disappoint. The company managed to raise an impressive £142,602.58. That means the company has now managed to donate £505,015.14 to BBC Children in Need.

Flagmakers sends congratulations to Shoe Zone and send thanks for allowing us to be even a small part of their latest fundraising efforts. Shoe Zone’s Marketing Department commented: None of this would not have been possible without your support and we would like to thank you for your kind donation. BBC Children in Need continues to make a positive change to the lives of disadvantaged children and young people across the UK and they are currently supporting 2500 projects. Often, it only takes a small amount of money to be able to make a big change, so being able to raise so much, really will make a difference.

We look forward to seeing what next times Children in Need might bring – hopefully some more wonderful and vibrant slippers! Flagmakers will be ready to lend a hand where we can to future events. Although the fundraising efforts resulted in great fun for all involved, we must always remember what Children in Need raises money. Its always makes me feel incredibly thankful for the supportive family and friends I have around me… as I’m sure the event does for many of us.
