The event may have been a couple of weeks ago, but here at Flagmakers we are still enjoying the photos and queries regarding all things Magna Carta. We’ve seen it all from medieval dress to flag selfies.
We are very proud to have been involved in the event and are doing our best to help share the photographs we have taken with the schools involved (if we haven’t reached your school yet please get in touch!).
Flagmakers were not informed prior to the event what would happen to the children’s beautiful flag designs after the event. We are very excited and pleased to report one local schools has told us they have had their flag given back to them. Furthermore are exploring the options of getting a flagpole to hoist their new bespoke flag on.
This was great news and we think will really leave a legacy of the Magna Carta 800 events. As fabulous as the children’s Flag Project flag designs were, they were not the only flags on display at Runnymede on this hectic day. Out lovely clients from Heathrow Airport sent us a fantastic picture of them (and their flag) cruising down the river. Better still, they were in medieval knights outfits aboard a beautifully painted narrow boat.
We would like to thank everyone for their support and for sharing their images with us. The events seemed to have really captured people’s imagination and it is wonderful to be a part of that. Flagmakers certainly hopes these events will leave a legacy and we will all continue to think very highly of the Magna Carta in how it has shaped modern society.
