As part of our work with the UK Parliament to create the fantastic Parliament Square display for the 800th anniversary of the Magna Carta, we are showcasing each of the flags created by school children from throughout the country. This flag design comes from Brooke Hill Academy, Rutland.

“The inspiration behind our design was the environment and heritage of Rutland. There were so many things that we could have put into our design, but in the end we have used the horseshoe, because it is the emblem of Rutland and added the Osprey wings, as they are a local symbol that we are very proud of.
This design was created by a small group of year 4, 5 and 6 children, who collaborated their ideas to create one flag design.”
