Albania National Flag
All of our printed Albania flags are made by a process called Dye Sublimation. This process impregnates the fibres of the fabric, the result is a flag that has very accurate colour, and importantly the design appears clearly on both sides of the flag. This is known as ‘printed through to reverse’ and is an important consideration when choosing your flag as both sides will be seen when flying.

Originally part of the Byzantine Empire Albania became an independent kingdom in 1912. However since then it has been invaded and run by other nations most notably when it became a communist state between 1944 and 1991 but it also suffered periods of control by both Italy and Germany during the Second World War.
There have been many versions of the Albanian flag to depict these changes before the current flag was restored in 1992 by the removal of the Communist star above the double headed eagle.
The different variants are shown below.
Coat of Arms of Albania
The coat of arms of Albania has always been a depiction of the Albanian flag regardless of who was in government at the time. It is based on the flag and seal of Gjergj Kastriot Skanderbeg and, on the current format, the emblem above the head of the two-headed eagle is the helmet of Skanderbeg, surmounted with goats’ horns.
