Our digitally printed Cayman Islands flags are made to a high quality, durable knitted polyester. Created to the Flag Institute approved design, by us here in the UK. Each flag is hand finished with a double sewn hem for durability, and a headband, rope and toggle suitable for attachment to any standard flagpole.

The Cayman Islands has been under British Control since 1670. Prior to being granted a coat of arms the Union Flag was the official flag flown on the island. In 1958 A British Blue Ensign with coat of arms was adopted.
In 750 the Abbasid Caliphate took control they adopted the previous black flag as their national symbol. During the later part of the century The Fatimid Caliphate had control of most of Egypt, including Cairo, their flag was a simple green field.
In 1999 the white disc was removed and the coat of arms enlarged to bring the British Blue Ensign up-to-date with other British flags. The pre-1999 flag is still flown on some occasions.
The Coat of Arms of the Cayman Islands
The Coat of Arms of the Cayman Islands was adopted in 1958. It features a shield made up of wavy blue and white lines, three gold-bordered green stars and a golden lion on a red background. Above the flag is rope, a turtle and a pineapple. Below is a golden banner stating “HE HATH FOUNDED IT UPON THE SEAS”.
The Civil Ensign of the Cayman Islands
The Civil Ensign of the Cayman Islands was first adopted in 1958. It is a British Red Ensign with the coat of arms centre right. In 1999 the white disc was removed and the coat of arms enlarged.
