This times Flagmakers manufactured a set of new bespoke flags for the Older Feminist Network. Certainly one of our more unusual clients but they’re needs for flags was the same as any one of our customers.
The flags were manufactured ahead of their inaugural flight at the Million Women Rise march in London on a chilly Saturday in March. The event is a worldwide demonstration targeted at challenging violence which occurs against women globally.
These flags were a part of the UK march but the event is a truly global affair with women from all over the world demonstrating in their homeland on the same day. This display of solidarity against violence is impressive and demands attention from society.
The Older Feminist Network wanted the flags to make them visible in the big crowds the march brings to London. The group even going as far as to mention other groups had asked where the vibrant and distinctive flags had come from! Safe to say the Network were one very happy customer.
It was fantastic to see flags being used for one of their core purposes, to draw attention. The Older Feminist Network commented on how the flags made them “visible” and helped make a “great impression” which had aided them in meeting people in the huge crowds.
Finally the Network close with a lovely comment for us to receive “Thanks again for your great product, efficiency and help, very best wishes” We would like to return the thanks to the Older Feminist Network in making the manufacturing process as smooth as possible for us and so thoroughly enjoying their bespoke flags.
